2007

  • Jermaine Johnson (Awarded his Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree on May 2004) is currently living in Houston, Texas where he now works for Harris County Pretrial Services as a court officer. He is also a Criminal Justice instructor at Cy-Fair College, a member of the North Harris Montgomery Community College system. Additionally, Jermaine is an instructor at Remington College in their Criminal Justice program. While at Remington College, he has been instrumental in the formation of the Alpha Sigma Alpha chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association, Lambda Alpha Epsilon.
  • Emile Sanchez, III (Awarded his Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree on Dec 31, 1999) is working as a watch commander with Kenner P.D.
  • Daniel Chun (Awarded his undergraduate Criminal Justice degree in 1973) continued to work with the New Orleans Police Department for a few more years after graduation. He moved to Colorado in 1978 and is currently a criminal investigator with the Denver District Attorney.

2006

  • Carla Maes (Awarded her Master of Criminal Justice degree on Dec 31, 2003) is working as an Federal Officer for the Capitol Police. She Graduated from their academy in October 2006.
  • Vanessa Cruz (Awarded her Master of Criminal Justice degree on May 15, 2004)is working in Omaha at Douglass County Youth Center as a Juvenile Detention Specialist.
  • Angella Lee Nash (Awarded her Master of Criminal Justice degree on Aug 31, 2004) is working as a Juvenile Probation Officer for the State of Florida in Jacksonville Florida. She is currently applying to the DEA, NCIS and ICE.

2005

  • Gussie Glapion, a Master of Criminal Justice graduate from Loyola University New Orleans, will present a paper entitled “Gangstas Drugs and Death: The Social Organization of Bereavement in an African American Community" at the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences in Chicago, March, 2005.

2004

  • Sgt. Todd Vignes, a current Bachelor of Criminal Justice student, was recognized by the Victims and Citizens Against Crime at their 13th annual awards ceremony on June 24, 2004 at The Balcony in Metairie. The New Orleans-based nonprofit organization provides assistance to crime victims and active supprts criminal justice system improvements (Gabrielle Maple, Times-Picayune, Saturday, June 26, 2004)
  • A.J. Kahoe, a Spring 1993 Bachelor of Criminal Justice graduate, has been named security manager of the Gulf States Division for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. (Times-Picayune, June 29,2004)
  • Dr. Charles Kelly, Loyola criminal justice graduate, completed his Ph.D. in the administration of justice at The University of Southern Mississippi in 2004. He is currently an assistant professor at Natchitoches State University in the department of criminal justice.  He is currently working on a specialty area in Terrorism and Homeland Security in the criminal justice program.2003

2003

  • Mr. Patrick Walsh, a Master of Criminal Justice graduate from Loyola University New Orleans, and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Criminal Justice at Southern Mississippi University.  Mr. Walsh, Dr. William Thornton and Dr. Lydia Voigt presented a paper, "Offender's Place of Residence as a Determinant in the Target Selection Process of Robbery Offenders" at the First Conference of the European Society of Criminology in Toledo, Spain, September 2002.  The three researchers are presenting another paper, "Co-Worker Robbery Homicide Offenders: A New Typology" at the Second Conference of the European Society of Criminology in Helsinki, Finland September 2003.
