The CIS Department Welcomes New Professor

The Department of Computer Information Science welcomes the arrival of Dr. Marin Simina as a new Assistant Professor. Dr. Simina received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1996 and 1999, respectively. Between 1999 and 2000 he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the College of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology. In 1984 he received a Diploma (M.S.) in Computer Science from the Bucharest Polytechnic Institute, Romania. He also received an interdisciplinary Certificate in Cognitive Science from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1999. Dr. Simina comes to Loyola from Tulane University.

This Fall Dr. Simina will be teaching the Information Systems Theory and Practice class, the Networks and Telecommunication class, and the Design and Implementation in Emerging Environments class.
