Our Mission
The mission of the Computer Information Science Department of Loyola University New Orleans is to prepare competent computer professionals with sensitivity to ethical and social justice issues. Knowledge, truth and excellence in information systems are pursued by nurturing student-centered academic programs characterized by shared values, unity of purpose, diversity of opinion, mutual respect and social responsibility. Further, there is strong commitment to the continual improvement of the quality of the academic programs in order to position the department as the premier department offering information science education to working adults in the New Orleans metropolitan area.
